Need A New Bed?

Just wanted to give a heads-up to any TGOers who may be interested in a new mattress and/or box-spring.

As some of you may already know, Brandi works at Southerland -- manufacturer of quality mattresses and box-springs -- in Nashville, TN.

Southerland is having an Employee Appreciation Sale on Saturday and Sunday, November 21st and 22nd.

They will be offering mattresses and box-springs at cost, or below cost. All sizes (twin, full, queen, king) will be available. They will be offering all grades (low-end, mid-grade, high-end).

All items are brand new. There will be no warranty. All sales are final.

You must buy on the spot, and this only includes in-stock merchandise. No special orders will be allowed. CASH SALES ONLY. Since they are the manufacturer, they do not offer delivery services. You must have your own means of transporting.

What kind of prices can you expect to pay, you ask? I can't say for sure, but I can tell you that I purchased one of their high-end (roughly $1500 in stores) King Size mattress and box-springs for about $350. A friend of the family purchased a lower-end (NOT GARBAGE) Queen Size mattress and box-spring for about $150. I can only assume the prices will be in the same ballpark.

Strapped with Bungee cords on the roof. Make SURE you keep your hand on it while you drive, because that'll totally help

If it matters, they may or may not have bed frames for sale. If you need on, they can be purchased from most stores that sell beds. IIRC, they are not very expensive.

I know you didn't mention it, but is there any chance this sale includes those pillows that are really airy because of holes in the material? Not memory foam. I can't remember what they're called.

I don't think they make pillows, but I will double check.

Based on the latest info, the hours of the sale will be 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, both Saturday and Sunday.

According to what I was told today, there will be many beds to choose from, but it will be best to get there as close to 9:00 am on Saturday for the most and best choice.

Also, don't hold me to this 100%, but according to the numbers so far, the prices should range from roughly $100 to roughly $300.

Those are good prices. on other note sleep on the floor sucks, specially after tempupedic beds. Maybe can persuade the wife to get one, once i get to nashville later on this week.

Anyone who's interested is welcome to buy the beds today and Friday, as well as this weekend. They will be open 8 till 5 today and Friday.

I stopped by and they are some very nice beds. They started making them a few days ago, and all the mattresses I saw were 10"-12" thick.
