Winchester 670A

Today my grandfather said he was thinking about selling his .30-06. So, I dug it out and looked up the model. It is a Winchester 670A with a Golden Antler 3-9x scope. It has some scratches on the stock from being carried during deer hunts. About how much should he be looking for? I can't find many 670As on gunbroker (only ONE in fact, at $300) to compare.

I looked it up, seems that the 670 was a value- priced version of the Model 70. They were made from 1967 to 1973.

Depending on how bad the scratches are, 250-300 would seem about right. The few values I've found listed for them do not seem to have scopes on them, so that may add a bit to the value.

I'll grab some pictures when I go down again.

It really doesn't look that old. Probably because it was only shot during hunts (and when I took it to a pumpkin shoot), but regularly cared for.

At that...Anyone knows if anyone is looking for one? If he can't find someone who wants to make an offer, he'll be taking it to Austin's Tennessee Firearms to see what he can get out of it.
