Just wondering if anyone made it to the EXPO gun show in K-town today -- this was a liitle soon after the Chilhowie show, and I was wondering if there were as many vendors there as there usually is for an EXPO show. :stunned:

It seemed like vendors and attendance were down. But there were some sweet deals, seemed everyone found something to leave with. I think overall sales are down, so vendors and walk in's were ready to deal.

I went, got there about 15 till open. The line was long when we got there, even longer by 9. I was kind of disappointed in this one after attending the other one. There were still quite a few vendors, but they all had the same stuff as they did the last show. I guess I should have expected that being its only 2 weeks since the last one. I didnt buy anything but my buddies bought some reloading supplies. I saw a few MarkII pistols but the price was not right for me.

I went, I saw, and I left.....

I did manage to pull off one trade.

There were not as many dealers at this one.

There were deals for buyers, but if you are going to sell

be ready to take it back home or loose money.

If gun shows are a sign of the economy, I say we are in pretty bad shape.

I was there as a vendor I sell reloadingsupplies and this show was off by 40 % at least. The one in Nashville was as well . I think that the number of shows have lowered the quality of them

Is Georgia Arms at the show?

Yes. But ammo prices have not really gone down any. Then again I wasn't looking for ammo.

It was another show. Deals were there to be found...depending on what you're looking for and who's walking around with it.

The usual vendors are there.

Wasn't much to see there in my opinion........deals I wanted to see weren't there and deals that were there weren't my cup o' tea. Stayed about 45min and chatted with my work buddy who's with RJL Firearms. Pretty much a waste of time and money for me.....more or less I kinda paid to chat with my friend. :yum:

I was a little ticked by one vendor. We were looking at a pistol on his table, and a friend of of ours showed up and we turned to talk to him and look at a pistol he brought for a moment, the vendor came over and started shooing us away from his table because supposedly we were blocking people from seeing the guns at the table.

We backed away (incidently we never saw anyone approach the part of the table we were "blocking"). I can certainly understand frustration with people blocking isles at the gun show, but this was early enough that it wasn't crowded and I was with a group of guys notorious for buying guns at the show. I didn't so much as look at another gun on that fellows table the rest of the time I was there. I happily spent my money elsewhere. /rant off :yum:

I went for a little while around 2pm. Didn't buy anything, but did see a few decent deals. It wasn't very crowded at all. It did seem to be a bit light on vendors. Oh well, another $9 gone.

I thing that you are exactly right. RK shows tend to be too close together in my opinion. Many folks don't bother to go if they are not looking for something special like reloading supplies or that special firearm that they cant live without.

Kind regards,

That dude was such an a$$hole. I would have done what I usually do and gone over the table at him....but I have been taking my meds, so I let it go.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add, that I am still waiting for the price of primers to go down. At this show they were selling Federal large/small pistol primers for $36/1000. Still up about $10.

Which vendor ran you off/ When I was there you could have shot a cannon off and not hit anyone! I will screw with him at Chilhowee if I can figure which one it was.

To be honest, none of us were paying much attention to him prior to his comment, and we paid even less than that afterward...

On a brighter note, I sold 2 guns, but another one, bought lots of ammo (love seeing those Georgia Arms guys), and got lots of goodies for my RECCE conversion project. A big +1 for the guys at the J&T Distributing booth, btw! :D
