PERMIT TODAY:up::drool::up::D:up::up::up::up:

Total process,

Class December 29th and 30th

DMV paid money on January 4th

Fingerprinted on January 6th

Called and faxed my Certificate from my class that they were waiting on:doh:January 24th

10 business days later, which is today, permit in the mailbox and in my pocket!

This was the worst wait I have ever experienced.

It must be nice db99wj. I took the class December 27-28th, went the 29th and done the DMV part, and went Jan. 2nd for the fingerprinting! I have yet to hear anything. I did call the Dept. of Safety on Jan. 26th and the lady told me that they were getting ready to issue it, and I should have it in 7-14 business days. Still nothing though! So Im waiting, patiently(NOT).

I called back today, before I got the mail, and she said that it was issued on Jan 24th, the day I called before. She said it has been taking 10 days from that point. Today was the 10th day exactly. Your 10 business days will be Friday....keeping my fingers crossed. I believe JCE's took exactly 10 business days as well. I will have to go back and look at my pm's.

Edit: It might have been 8 days...maybe he is on here and can say for sure.

That's what I was thinking, but wanted to make that disclaimer!

I will be going to Walmart or Target or HomeDepot this weekend, maybe all 3

Wow, that's really fast turnaround. My wife took her class 3 weekends ago and we've yet to go get the rest of the process taken care of. Maybe next week she'll get a chance to do it.

Get her out and get the process going, that's the easy part, it's the wait after that that stinks!!!

GET R DONE...:doh:Wow, can't believe I said that.

:( You mean you haven't spent a couple hours modeling in front of a mirror to see if you're printing or not?

Ummmm, no.

Ok, I've been looking at myself in the mirror from the day I got it and slapped it in that factory holster wannabe thingy that they sell with the XD's!!!

I bought the Blackhawk Serpa, looked a bunch in the mirror and figured out what type close I will and can wear.

I bought the Comp-Tac CTAC and modeled it a bunch too. I actually have had the CTAC for about 3 weeks and have worn it everyday in order to get use to the feel of it. When I put the XD in it today, it actually was more comfortable than empty. So the lesson is always carry:D

I went to Lowes today to pick up a light switch and had the CTAC on but was not tucked in to conceal the grip, I did have a suit coat on.

Yes, I have to wear a suit, but I wear my Don Hume belt everyday!
