Its that time of year again, please check your smoke detectors and replace the batteries.

It just may save your life and the lives of loved ones...

Yep, day light savings time = change your smoke detector batteries.

Mine are electric and I cant find the batteries.:cool: Just kidding Thanks for the reminder

And my wife tests them every time she cooks.:P Please dont tell her I will be eating bologna for months if she finds out.;)

Mine are wired in but they still have battery backups. They only need it every 4 years or so. There are 7 in here and they start to beep when the battery gets weak. As soon as I hear the first beep I replace them all.

Changing the normal battery operated type when the time changes is a great way to keep it in mind.

I have the battery kind that stick up on the wall and our security system also has them (battery backup). The battery only kind are backups!

Thanks for the reminder. My smoke detector went off the other day about 4 in the morning. Got everyone up and was going to exit the house via front door and it turned out to be dust on the heating coils of the central heat and air unit (I live in a townhouse). I had to open the windows due to the small amount of smoke. Thank goodness it was not a real fire. Also it was the first time my heat was turned on.
