Something I have always wanted to get into but just cant seem to find the time. If some one wanted to organize an TGO paintball event in the Memphis area I would love to participate.

I play. A lot. I just overhauled a Tippmann 68 carbine to toss around in rec games, but I primarily use my CCM pump with a 13ci tank and 40 round hopper. Oodles of fun. And cheap

I'm guessing from your location that you play at Bear Claw? How's the chicken farm situation these days?

I used to play a pretty good bit. Is bear claw still open? I went down there one time right after it opened and never made it back down there. That must have been eight years ago. I spend alot of time out of the state these days, but if there were something going on when I am home, I would be interested.

Played when I was in my teens. Simply put...waste of money. I probably unloaded about $3,000 into my guns, clothes, masks and etc. Also when I played there was only one place to play in Memphis and it was ran by a total ass. Ended up selling everything for around a grand. Best thing I ever did was get out of that sport and in to hunting, atleast when I shoot something now I get something out of it....just my opinion.

If I had the money now that I invested in paintball stuff...Like you, I spent several grand on my stuff, not to mention all the buying, selling, and trading I did before I settled with something. I checked the used prices a while back, my almost $2,000.00 Matrix is worth about $500.00 now I think.

Where did you play in Memphis?

I played a little back in high school. I don't think I ever had more than $300 in gear. I was using a Spyder SE.

I never got into the highly organized form of it, it was just me and my buddies in the woods where we built a few bunkers.

I have played a few times at bearclaw, We used to play just in the woods close to home when i lived in Tullahoma.

As for the chicken farm situation? I haven't heard or smelled a thing. And I was there just last sunday.

I didn't spend that much on PB, as i mainly got into it for the fun of it, we didn't have to have the top of the line gear to play. I have 2 spyders, but needing the lower trigger&frame for one to work. Seems a new trig/frame assembly costs about as much as just replacing the gun.

I just decided to upgrade though, as there is supposed to be a big event this coming february at Bearclaw.

Thinking about getting back into it on a regular basis, But i know i need to get back into shape well before i start competing( if it ever gets that good). Mostly like woodsball and some scenarios as i'm not really into that speedball thing. You seem to run out of paint real easy in that one.
