I am glad to see that there are others out there that are willing to stand up for themselves and that there was support from the neighbors. But the thing that aggravates me is the looming fear that if you do this that there might be problems with the legal end of things.

Exactly, I too noticed a few things that I would have done differently. Though, I'm sure he was just reacting in the heat of the moment, and hadn't thought out how he would react beforehand other than having a shotgun at his disposal. In the end, his family and stuff is safe, and the bad-guys are in jail.

Simply evidence of how many people are simply unaware of what is tactically-correct, since they don't visit internet gun forums...
