Should I run against Emily Elliott for Bartlett Alderman

I am in the thought process of making a run for Emily Elliott alderman seat. She has really rubbed me the wrong way and it appears most if not all of the HCP holders. She seems to be involved in quite a few things around Bartlett, and appears to be to busy to stay up to date on current events.

She is up for re-election Nov. 2010 and has held the seat for almost ten year and has run unopposed every year.

I have lived in Bartlett for 27 years and have seen a lot of changes, the good outweigh the bad, but there needs to be some youth on the board to represent the Bartlett citizens under the age of 60 along with someone who is a TN HCP holder who is not afraid to stand up to those who would want to take rights away.

I own a graphic design company in Bartlett. I will be 41 next month and I have had enough of Elliott trying to circumvent my 2nd amendment right.

I would love to hear any thoughts on this.

I wanted to add that this is not the only reason I am considering this.

Don't know anything about Emily but I think getting involved is good. I'd say go for it. Running for something and losing is better than not trying.

She is popular, but, we had one voted off last time. She spends alot of time networking at events around town.

Good luck!

Getting involved is always good. Check with the folks who will vote to see how they will go. Can be costly or if a lot of folks get involved maybe not so much so.

Good luck if you run!

Go for it. Anytime someone is rubbed the wrong way and is willing to get involved instead of just complaining I say great.

I agree she needs to go. Where do you stand on other issues facing Bartlett?

Better start checking on filing deadlines and then begin your fund-raising cause it won't be cheap. You may have to spend a lot of your own cash. Getting someone out who has been in a while won't be easy but if there are a bunch like you who is fed up then it is sure worth a try. There will be a lot of issues other than 2A things. Do your homework and attack on all fronts.

Good luck!

She's anti-2nd and you have to ask? RUN anyone anti-gun is just looking for a chance to trash the whole constitution.

I graduated from Bartlett with you a long time ago but, I have since escaped and can't vote there. I'd promise to keep quiet about the old days though! LOL

You'd be up there with Chip Pleasant's dad.
