City of Bartlett TN

Resolution 26-09, a resolution to prohibit handguns in public municipal parks, natural areas,

historic parks, nature trails, campgrounds, forests, greenways, waterways, or other similar

public places.

Actually they did not vote because there was not a 2nd on the motion to vote on the resolution, so they did not vote and the resolution was dropped due to lack of support.

They (and we) are taking a lot of abuse in the Communist Appeal for their decision. I am very glad that they did not pass the ordinance. I would have preferred an actual vote so that we would know where each alderperson stood. I know that at least one will not be getting my vote when she is up for election again.

Ms. Elliot is an idiot. Threatened by permit holders...this is my comment.

I'm sure Ms. Elliot was threatened by permit holders....I'm willing to bet that her constituents, that are permit holders, called and said, "If you vote to ban guns in parks, we WILL NOT VOTE FOR YOU"....on second thought, that would more likely be a promise, because most permit holders vote and we won't vote for those with opposing views...
