Well since the more knowledgable folks arent chimming in I'll take a stab at it. All I know is back in the mid 90's when I was using simunition in the military they were MIL/LEO only. I have no idea if that has ever changed.

I do know you need seperate/special barrels to shoot it though.

I think I remember reading that it was Mil/LE only...

Seems like there would be a little bit of a liability involved selling it to the general public.

A few years back it was LEO/Mil only, with approved Instructors through Simunitions.

The handguns we used were Glock 17-T's.

There are a few instructors around using Sims.

Another option may be UTM.

UTM may only sell to professional training organizations as well. I have no personal experience with their products, but I've heard positive things from folks that have used them.

Safety, and inadvertently interjecting live rounds into scenarios, are such a huge concern (understandably in our litigious society), guidelines are generally pretty strict.

Sims are great for training. But realistic scenarios and stringent safety protocols are a must.

Just my $.02 worth.

Good Luck. :)
