Kiffin wanted to bring back the old tradition of UT wearing orange and Alabama wearing red for their game this year down in Alabama. The SEC said it was OK, but Bama had to be the stick in the mud and is refusing to go along with it.

I'd love to see us wear Orange any way and then beat them.

The away teams may wear their home jerseys at games if the host team and the SEC office approves them. Tennessee asked Bama and the SEC for permission to do just that. The SEC office said yes. Bama said no. If Tennessee chooses to wear them anyway they will get a 15 yard penalty after the opening kickoff. Kiffin has said that he is not willing to take that penalty to wear the orange jerseys.

Tennessee will need more than an Orange jersey to beat Bama on Saturday. I have watched a lot of UT/AL games over the years and many times it was not the team that was thought to be the best that won the game. I hope to see another one of those on Saturday!

Even if the Vols win(and I think they have a legitimate chance if zombie Crompton shows again), 'Bama and Florida will most likely play for the SEC championship. Where 'Bama will beat the crap out of Florida. I hope. All of this will hopefully bring us closer to a playoff system for the national championship and do away with this BCS nonsense.

I'm not a Bama fan either but the Bama fans are a lot nicer than the Florida fans. The Florida folks seem intent on cornering the market on jerkness whereas I've never had a bad experience with a Bama fan.

I guess I am a little bit of a bama fan, out of all the programs that deserve the NCAA death penalty they are my favorite.

It was ugly, but it was still a win. God I love it when we beat Tennessee.

Bama was expecting a pushover but instead they got out played. Good teams though make their own breaks and Bama needed and got 2 big FG blocks to get the win. It was a typical SEC battle that went down to the wire. I'm proud of my Vols and I'm proud to say "IT GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOLUNTEER!!!

Congrats to Alabama, the special teams came through when it was on the line. I'm sure all the UT fans will call this a moral victory but until they start printing the L in a lighter shade of ink I'll still be upset that the Vols lost.
