Hi, I'm new to ARs , so I'm hoping to get some help here. I'm looking for a flattop AR carbine. I plan to check out Guns and Leather as it's the closet gun shop. Can anyone let me know what a good price locally would be for a flattop carbine? Many thanks.

If you cant find what you are looking for in Nashville, I know a shop in Winchester that has around 30-35 AR variants in stock

Just like Joe said you can spend as much as you want to on an AR much like everything else the world. If you don't want to spend hours researching the subject you owe it to yourself to take a Road Trip down to Hero Gear to check out their selection of EBRs which is the best I have seen anywhere around here.

I would also recommend the Mid Length Gas System over the Carbine. 16" barrel either way unless your thinking SBRs.

YMMV

Thank you for all the replies. Winchester is a bit far from where I am but 35 ARs to choose from sounds very attractive. How many of those are under $1k? Thanks

If you get the chance to come to Winchester , you really should check out Hero-Gear they will set you up with an AR to fit your needs and your budget . I bought my RRA there. I spent abount 1700 on it already pimped out ,used but you couldn't tell it . New it would have been around 3000. Real happy with the purchase.

If you got a Pro Series Elite, you got a Heck of a deal! I have had my Pro Series Government for a couple of months now and I absolutely love it;)

EBRs? You mean Homeland Defense Rifles?

I was at Guns and Leather a couple of weeks ago and they had about 10-15 I think.

A mix of makers and styles.

The trip to see 30-35 would be tempting just to gawk at 'em.

Wow... :D the closet gun shop? Hm... I guess it just figures with a name like Gun and LEATHER! :D

Sorry, couldn't resist!

Guns and Leather will do you right. They have some DPMS AR's that can be had even cheaper (in the $650 range, last I remember). Good place to start.
