Garufa...May I say...THANK YOU. I know I speak for those of us that sport a "40"...We've been maligned by the Euro trash 9MM crowd and verbally lambasted by the Ancient Order of 45ACP lovers...THANK YOU...Thank you for giving our lives worth and our egos a good massage

But but...they have the largest trailer park in TN, so it's important!

By the way, there's another round packaged like the .40, I guess I just never realized its awesomeness before!:

Indeed! The magnificence of the .38 Special is clearly demonstrated by this illustration. Obviously, it is the revolver's equivalent to the mighty .40!

You wouldn't be singing that song if you'd ever had to carry a .38 Special for a living......switching over to the Smith 4006 from the .38 Special was a defining moment in life if you were a cop. I've carried it for 18 years in a half dozen different guns and am crying bitter tears at having to give it up for the 9mm because of some nerve damage in my shooting arm. Don't get old, boys, don't get old.

Well that does it! I'm officially a caliber whore....I'll take whichever caliber is handy in whatever package is available.....

Another plus for .40 is the fact that when I run down my ammo list at Walmart I get no, no, no, no, no, yes we do have some .40 S&W, how many do you want?

I guess I'll have to throw away all my 9's and get some of those fancy packed 40's. Wait...I'll have to go buy a 40 cal pistol now. Do they come in fancy packaging too? I don't know why I would have overlooked that caliber.

Well I was hanging on to my like of the 9mm round untill I saw your excellent presentation of there random packing compared to others. The organization alone of the 40 rounds has me sold....being a bit OCD I don't know how I didn't see this before!

Now this is the kind of hard-hitting, in-depth information that I've come to expect from this forum. Thanks, Garufa, for pulling back the curtain and exposing the white trash, trifling manner in which some inferior ammo is packaged.

The last three boxes of 100 count Winchester 9mm that I have bought actually each contained 101 cartridges. I was transferring them to a 100 cartridge plastic container (with little silos for each one) and I always had one left over from each box.

That's why I buy the 9's. Screw the packaging. I'm all for the extra round.

9mm is packaged like th .40 and .38 in Winchester if you buy better rounds by Federal. Considering WWB is just a marginal difference better than Blazer Ammo with Steel casings.

Everyone that is switching to the .40 can donate all of their 9mm, .45, .38, .357 Mag, .357 Sig, .380, and 5.7x28mm. PM me for the address to mail them to.

With all the money I save on them I can buy my .40 ammo.

This has to be one of the most entertaining threads in quite a while!

If you have a CZ 75B .40, there are aftermarket kits that can convert it to 9mm, 357 Sig or .22 LR. The 9mm only requires the barrel, recoil spring, and factory 9mm mags. But it will only work if the gun is originally chambered for the .40.....the 9mm CZ 75B can't do this. Not a bad deal really....four calibers for roughly around $1200.

Despite the compelling argument........I have grudgingly decided to offer all my .40 ammo for sale to those on here as you seem to be truly appreciative of the firepower offered by the round.

For a limited time, I will be offering each round in its own chunk of the valuable foam packing material for the low low price of $1.00 each. I will forgo the collection of tax or handling at this time, but would be forced to charge $8.95 for shipping to those outside the greater Knoxville area. I would be happy to discount shipping on multiple rounds purchased.

Ooh, ooh. Where do I sign up?

The .40 is packaged that way to overcome its low self esteem. It knows deep down inside it's not quite as good as the .45

The .45 is packaged the way it is due to its extreme awesomeness. The only thing that can handle looking a .45 ACP round dead in the eye is ANOTHER .45 ACP round. If you put a .40 into the .45 box, it would poop out a 22 and a .17 due to fear

Every time you buy a box of .357 sig... an angel gets it's wings.

And well... that just makes the extra expense okay by me.
