If this is a Taurus Millenium you are referring to they were recalled for jams and stovepiping. My LEO friend sent his back and it is a lot better now. This was only for the 9mm first gen. that I am aware of.

If this is a Taurus Millenium

yes it is.......shot 100 rounds through it today....has more recoil than I thought it would, 2 FTF's....stiff DAO trigger bothered me more than i thought

I had one too. It was my least favorite gun. I was able to trade it in on a Keltec P11. The Taurus had the worst trigger I have ever seen on a pistol. It's hard to believe they would sell a product that bad. I called Taurus when I first got it and they said that's the way they are.

I dont know about the first gen but i love my new Millenium pro. Have had it 6 mths or so put at least 1000 rds thru it. no jams or stove pipes . i use it for my main carry gun now. :P

I have had a 1st gen PT145 for several years now. I did lightly buff the feed ramp with a dremel on sloooow and some flitz (not enough to remove metal, just a good shine), but even before that have had no feed issues with over 1000 rounds of ball and 100+ of JHP. The trigger trips the scale at right around 6# and is actually very accurate. I may have just been really lucky, but it has proven to be a great little gun for me. Recoil is not bad at all. It's my wife's favorite little gun.

If it's DAO, then it's a 1st or early 2nd gen. Check for issues along the recoil spring assembly and magazine springtension. Taurus' lifetime warranty follows the weapon so you should be good on support. Customer service is hit or miss. It can be good, and it can profoundly suck. I had a 3rd gen pt111 that was reliable, accurate and comfortable. I didn't like the trigger, but I'd carry it confidently any day of the week.

I HAD a first get 9mm and the pins in front and behind the trigger fell out within the first 500 rounds. I sent it back and sold it quick!

Complete garbage will never own a Taurus again
