Sell a firearm to a non-TN resident?

Question - I've got an out of state resident interested in my MAC for sale. He'll be in Nashville soon and wants to know how we can work a deal. I'm pretty sure state law doesn't allow me to sell a firearm to non-TN residents right?

If so, what is the best option? How does this work with an FFL? Does the seller paypal me and then I drop the gun off at an FFL and he picks it up or what? I'm not familiar with these types of transactions.

Anyone who knows, share the wisdom. Thanks.

what if we are both in nashville at the same time? he cant purchase it here? it needs to be shipped somewhere?

He can purchase it here, but he cannot take possession/transport the firearm.

Have him meet you at a local FFL. Do the sale/transfer there. The local FFL will ship it to an FFL in his area.

With all the stuff that's been going in the media with illegal sales of firearms in TN, do this by the book. You have no idea who you're dealing with, or who may be watching.

could be an ATF agent. when i had a glock for sale on here i had a guy from NYC try to buy the gun from me and have me ship it to him if he gave me an extra $500 for my troubles. smelled bad to me, not to mention illegal.

I had a similar issue with the AR I have for sale. I could use the money, but it didn't take long to realize something was fishy about the situation. I didn't need the money that bad.
