Hi all. My name is Karl and I live up in NH. I joined TGO as our house is for sale and we are moving to TN as soon as it sells. We know nobody or have no relatives there. I only know the three times we were there we wanted more. I have seen many posts from TGO throughout my Google searchs and thought I should join for a few reasons. Starting all over in a new area is tough enough but finding new hunting spots is the toughest. I hope the huntings good there! I'll be looking for one of those pigs.

I love guns, hunting, and fishing. I am a current NRA member and former member of Alaska Professional Hunters Association and registered guide. Long guns of all types keep me going. Hunting rifles really charge me up. There has to be at least 3 or 4 perfect calibers for every species of game. Isn't there? Not saying I don't like handguns, I just haven't collected all the long guns I want yet.

I have various hunting rifles of different manufacturers, Bushmaster XM15-E2S, Norinco SKS, a few shotguns, 7.7 Arisaka, 6.5x55 Mod96 Swede, Colt pocket 25acp, and Ruger SR9.

Next up a S&W 1911 and either a Tikka or Savage LE in .308.

Great to be here!

Where in Tennessee are you headed? Generally speaking.

Not exactly sure but looking somewhere around Dale Hollow area.

Thanks. I left NH and went to Alaska for a long time. When I came back they did sound funny back here. I'll work on trying to lose it.

Welcome. I don't live anywhere near Dale Hollow but it looks nice.

You can make some good friends here and I bet there are more than a few folks who live in Dale Hollow. Even if you never make it here, TGO is worth reading and participating in.

I will make it there for sure. It's getting too expensive here and if you hunt they are really putting the squeeze on you as far as open land. Plus I'm sure you don't get 175" of snow every year.

Welcome aboahd. I grew up in MA and VT. Theahs nothing wrong with the accent. :D

I live about 20 minutes south of Dale Hollow, great fishing year round. A lot of good areas to live.

Welcome to TGO. I really like NH, but can see how the snow could get old eventually. Fishing is pretty good down here too and you don't have to drill a hole in the ice.

Thanks for all the welcomes. Yeh looks like PapaB will be able to understand me anyway. Sure will be nice to go fishing without an ice auger! Our season already closed down the end of Sept. Guess that means it's sighting in at the range and looking for big bucks.

Absolutely FANTASTIC smallmouth bass fishing at Dale Hollow lake. As a matter of fact, that's the home of the world record smallie. I think I would take that into consideration in my move. LOL
