What Auto with a silky smooth trigger

I have an S&W M&P 9mm which I really like. I LOVE to shoot my wife's S&W Model 66 .357 revolver. It has the smoothest DA trigger, and is rock solid accurate.

Do any of you know of any semi-auto pistols with smooth DA or DA-Like triggers? Ive shot a standard SA 1911 once and really liked it. Anyone have any experience with the Para LDA system? Others? BTW I've also shot a Kahr P9 with a really smooth DA trigger. That is in the running.

Looking for something for target, possibly Bullseye, or HD. Not planning to carry at this point.

Kahr pistols, Kel-Tec PF9 or P3AT, all have smooth, but long triggers. My Stoeger Cougar has a smooth trigger, too. Just as nice or better than any revolver, in my opinion.

Do you mean DA or DA/SA? Are you firing the revolver cocked or uncocked?

I love revolvers and DA/SA automatics, but the length of trigger pull sux when you're firing in DA mode.

My carry weapon is a hammerless revolver and I've had to train myself to half pull the trigger then aim to get the accuracy I want.

I have owned a Para with the LDA trigger. Try one out. I think it will do what you want it to. Some people gripe about them but I have never had a bit of problem from mine.

Send your M&P back to Smith & Wesson and have them install the Performance Shop sear and the Massachusetts compliant trigger return spring and connector. Thank me later.

1911 triggers rule! Sounds like you've found that out...;)

I love LDA's! I just wish I could afford one.

I like the sound of that. I just picked up a new (used?? [it appears new to me];) off of Gunbroker) Stoeger Cougar 8000 this week from my FFL. I plan to try it out this weekend.

I'd like to see a semi-auto trigger that can match the feel of a nice (meaning tuned, honed or just old) true double-action Smith revolver. ;)

A Glock with a NY1 trigger spring + 3.5lb connector installed is very revolver like, smooth and constant at around 6.5-7lbs.

While I'm not a fan of DAO semi-autos I fondled an LDA once, and while the thought of a DA 1911 seemed like heresy to me, it was actually pretty darn smooth and surprisingly nice.

My HK45 has one of the best, smoothest, most predictable triggers of any DA/SA automatic that I've ever fired. Unfortunately it came with the HK-Tax.

Try the Para Carry 7 DAO. It has the sweetest 2-stage pull I have ever encountered on a 1911 design. Mainspring is cocked by the slide action so all the trigger has to do is bring the hammer to the sear. Pretty slick.
