Issues with Franklin Gun Shop

Hey jwb68 yeah that guy that day brought that on himself, our policy is clearly stated and he just can't read, as for that glock 19 I'm not sure who you talked to but Brian will always deal specially for cash, check, or debit. We may not be able to beat anyones price but we will do our best to help you out.

Yeah that guy was a real jerk for sure! I had to stare though cause it was like a car wreck!

Next purchase I will give you guys another try.

I still picked up several firearms from Franklin. I lived about mile from the shop, so it was mainly from convenience.

Here's my main beef. You guys are overpriced and waaay too pushy. An unnamed principal is so pushy that he reminds me of timeshare salesman.

My other beef is that I cannot trust a couple of the guys due to a prior experience. Years ago in the original location, I was handling a used Charles Daly 1911 Stainless empire grade. The unnamed "pushy principal" nosed in and applied the hard sell while providing all kinds of accolades for the pistol. I ended up purchasing the pistol. About a year later, I attempted to trade the 1911 on a Glock 34. Same individuals offered about 1/3 of what I paid and told me that the Daly was not something that they would recommend.

All that said, I welcome you guys to TGO and hope that you'll become a vendor.

Rick Uselton is a douche. All the other reasons why Franklin Gun Shop may or may not suck means nothing to me. Rick Uselton is a douche. In my humble opinion, of course.

I have been in the Franklin Gun Shop many times and have to say they generally will ask multiple times if you need help. The closer you get to the counter the more they will ask. I typically view the outer walls and move toward the counters. I have never found any of the staff not to be helpful. I can see someone getting lost in the crowd especially if they were not close to the counter and not willing to push thru the crowd or wait their turn.

Ok... this thread I think has served it's initial purpose. In order to continue to promote your shop, someone there is going to have to commit to being a Supporting Vendor here on TGO. I'd be happy to discuss it with Brian.

Until then, please refer back to our Code of Conduct [link] wherein we discuss the fact that we do protect our Vendors by prohibiting unauthorized advertising. Some of these posts are venturing straight into advertising territory, so it needs to come to a stop.
