I guess technically I'm not an owner - yet; but I'm hoping I can still get some advice, pointers, etc. from the amazing resources that I've found here so far.

I've had various experience with guns in what seems to be the distant past (to me, anyway), including .22 rifles, and my dad's 9mm service pistol from when he was a RPO in the city we lived in (we used to go to the range; he'd practice and then let me shoot a bit). That was about 12-14 years ago now and I haven't really been since then, so I'm sure I'm real rusty (air rifles don't count, and I know it).

Looking for a good instructor course in Nashville for myself and my SO; she's a bit skittish around guns, but I'm thinking that taking the course together may at least allay some of her fears, if not getting her totally interested altogether. I am looking to get my permit, but I also want to take the class to help me refresh and clarify what I've picked up on my own.

I'm sure there are some other threads with this information, and I'll be sure to do a search, but if anyone knows of a good course or instructor, please let me know.
