Just got in the new Sinclair Cat.. and here is the list of stuff that I have been lusting over or would love to have..

First.. Giraud Power Trimmer (not in the catalog) GTC Trimmer

Bullet comparator and stand, this allows you to measure the bullets from base to ogive to get equal bullets of the same length. This is important to accuracy.

Whidden Bullet Pointing Die. This will increase the BC on a bullet.

I need a new Dial Caliper. The old one i have dropped one too many times.

Since now that I have moved away from Lapua brass to Winchester, looks like I will have to get a neck turning kit.

Timmer stand for my Wilson Trimmer and also a Micrometer attachment to go on the trimmer as well. And a new trimmer clamp.

Carbide Cutter for the Wilson Trimmer and power adaptor.

A 308 and 284 Win cases for the Lock-N-Load OAL Gauge (Stoney Point)

Redding Type "S" Match Full Length Die Set in 284 Win.

I need to build a new table for the Digital scale, a granate slab to put it on and a line conditioner for the scale.

A Lucas Bore Guide for my Barnard rifles in 308 and 284 win.

I have thought about getting a new press.. a friend of mine is going to hook me up with his old Rock Chucker as soon as someone takes the piggy back system off his hands. I have also thought about getting a Forster/Bonanza Co-Ax press.

A Lyman E-Zee Flo Universal Powder Trickler, because it is tall enough to work with the digital scale (Acculab VIC-123).

Lyman Revolution Rotating Gun Vise or the Sinclair X-Large Varmint/Prone Long Range Rifle Cradle.

Some Pelican cases to hold my Iron Sights to protect them when they are not on the gun.

And of course.. lots of SIE 2156 155.5gr Palma Bullets, Berger 180gr 7mm bullets and Lots of Varget and either H4350 or RL17 powder.

That should do it .. for a while!

Yes I do.. but then.. it has been greatly reduced.. I could trim it some more.. but these are the things that I would like to get the most.. some more than others.

Both sons have 9mms, and daughter-in-law has a .380.

So all I need is the 2 sets of dies, molds, swagger

and a lead tester.

Well, I'd love to add a 1050 to the list but I just can't see that happenig and staying married. LOL

I have all the tools I need. I just need more components:

- 55gr .224 Hornady FMJBT bullets

- 180gr FMJ and JHP .40 S&W

- small pistol primers (preferably Winchester)

- 6.5 Grendel brass

- more CCI 450 primers (only have 3k)

- 130gr .264 Berger hunting VLDs

And a .223 case gage- for Rightwinger.

The Whidden Sysytem has me confused. It says to lightly trim the Meplat after pointing. Why not trim only and be done? If you point to gain BC, and then have to trim and lose BC, what's the point? ( get it...point??? sorry, couldn't resist )

The point is.. so to speak.. is that you trim them first so that the point is now concentric and equal to the other bullets in the lot. Then after you have uniformed meplats of the bullets, you point them back up. Trimming the meplats will bring consistancy to the BC of a bullet and yes it does reduce it by about 2% or so. But then pointing the meplat back up will gain you about 10% increase in the BC.. so it is worth the effort. If you have not noticed.. most compainies are starting to list G7 BC factors.. G1 form is more relevant to flat base bullets and a G7 is more relevant to BT and VLD type projectiles. All this work is to reduce vertical dispersion at long ranges. (And possibly reduce wind drift)
