New from Nashville

Greetings everyone!

I'm John, rather new to shooting. I usually go out to the range off of Murfreesboro Pike out past Antioch (I forget the name). I do pretty well at the handgun range for a newbie.

I shoot a Springfield XD .45 cal but am hoping to add an .45 ACP GI issue sometime in the future. My arsenal also includes a Winchester 30-30 with brush scope, a Mosin-Nagant 7.62-54 (looking for a scope, somewhere down the line, for this one), an ancient 12ga shotgun. Also want to add a pump 12ga for home defense.

Don't hold a carry permit...haven't decided for myself on that one yet.

My wife shoots far better than I- she having had a father who was on one of the Army's 45cal pistol teams in the 1950s. He was an MP in Japan for 3 years during the occupation and could shoot unbelieveably well. He taught my wife and her sister how to shoot. She has been giving me pointers.
