best place to buy a (real) Aimpoint T1

I've gone back and forth on which red dot to get, but I've finally settled on the Aimpoint T1. I'd like to keep the purchase under $550, if possible, but I'm a little wary because I know that some people out there have sold fake but convincing Aimpoints on the cheap. Can anyone tell me where to get a real Aimpoint T1 for less than $550?

Thanks.

Jim

Try Hero-Gear or Guns and Leather. Unsure of prices, but they'll be the best places as far as price and knowing you're getting the real deal.

Good luck.

We have them in stock, but as Jason mentioned, Guns and Leather is an Aimpoint dealer as well and is closer to you.

Good luck with your search. The T1 is a great optic!

do you already have a mount for it? If not, realize that a decent mount will cost more as well.

Great optic, love mine.

Thanks for the tip. As much as I'd like to buy from the local guys, though, the sales taxes alone are likely to push me way over my price target. :-(

Good Luck! Aimpoints and Eotech's seem to have a the price locked pretty firmly. But I would pay the sales tax and talk to a local shop about a sight and mount deal. I love being able to walk into a shop and actually SEE stuff. At least give the guys at the shop a chance, they know they have to compete with the internet, who knows? they may make you an offer you can't refuse... or give you a GOOD price on something else you need. It never hurts to ask!

Hmmm...not sure what you mean. Are you thinking AR? The website says the T1 has an "integral Picatinny-style base [that] allows easy attachment to any rail". It's going to go on my AK, on an Ultimak rail. Similar to this (but without whatever he has mounted in front of it):

:-)

You'll need a high mount for 1/3 witness, and a mid mount for absolute witness on an AR. The T1 comes with a mount, but it's too low to use with BUIS.
