I acquired an FEG PJK-9HP from TheCoop (a Member on here). It is a browning hi power clone. It is a 9mm, 13+1, and is awesome. The finish on this gun blew me away. Shiny as a new penny. Without cleaning, the gun functioned perfectly. Fed everything. I would highly reccomend this gun to anyone that has a chance to acquire one. They can be had for $200-$350. This gun is a great nightstand pistol or even a larger carry gun. The internals, finish, and quality were way above par for price range. Thanks to Coop for a great gun!

Would it be ok if I were to say,

"This thread is worthless without pictures"?

I might just have to Google the FEG.

Adding them now. You are correct!

It is indeed a clone of the original version of the Hi-Power, and a very fine gun. If you know of a source for one at the price range you quoted, give me a shout.

By the way, you know who designed it, don't you? :D

FEG is a Hungarian company that makes replical Hi-Powers and Makarov/PPK their products are pretty dencent and work well for the price. HP are great guns to own.

Glad you like it and I wish I had a chance to shoot it but maybe I can when you come up in a few weeks to Hendersonville!!!!! COOP

Years ago, I had a FEG P9R which is the DA/SA version of that gun. It too was an excellent pistol too. I certainly wouldn't mind owning another one some day.

That particular pistol is a very fine example of the BHP. I had one. It is a fun gun to do all the gunsmithing that costs you big bucks from the pros as a DIY. Get rid of the mag safety and start the work and you can have a very nice shooting BHP

my first Handgun was a PJK-9HP. Didn't know what I had at the time. It was an excellent pistol. Word had gotten out on them and they are relatively rare these days.

Daly makes his BHPs out of FEGs.

Really! I actually saw a Daly HP clone at the local pawn shop today. It was NIB ($450 or so). Did not look half the gun the FEG is (finish wise). I know FEG is imported by KBI (Charles Daly) so it seems fit it is the same gun. But the FEG P9...HP is the single action, hp clone, with the small safety that has all the interchangable parts. If you can get your hand on one, I recommend it! Im about to post a pic of new model FEG vs Old model. The older model from what I read is twice the gun. Gunbroker has some for $200 and up.

Consider yourself lucky.

If you don't get that bite the BHP is a great design. I get the bite on my old 1911 as well. I use a very high grip on my pistols. Unlike the 1911 which is easy to fix the BHP isn't.

OK, this is the newer (not as good) model:

FEG 9mm Browning HP Copy - Nice ! : Semi-auto at GunBroker.com

This is the Feg I have that is awesome, flawless, and would not trade it for 2 glocks:

)

That's BOLD statment. :D

Maybe if it a real BHP I might agree. However, for 2 Glocks, I would trade without hessitation. More money can be had with the Glocks and it would be just as easy to sell a Glock and buy another FEG clone...:P

I know, I know. Just a statement to display my satisfaction.... We know thats not true. I would take two glocks for it, sell the two glocks and buy 4 FEG's and 2000 rounds of ammo. :P j/k
