I tried HS6 in 9 Minor and it was dirty as hell with a 125 LRN. 9Major is a different story...good stuff. Check Hogdon's website.

My reloading list the following:

40 S&W Case: Hornady

PR: Winchester SP

135 Gr. Nosler Jacket Hollow Point

HS-6 10.2 Grains Velocity: 1,321 33,600 PSI COL: 1.125"

Have you tried Longshot powder? Has lower chamber pressure.

HS6 - 10.2gr - 1321 FPS - 33,600 PSI

Longshot - 11.5gr - 1434 FPS - 31,900 PSI

Also clean and accurate.
