found the following on the net referring to magtechs .380 +p ammo:

"Keep in mind there are no SAAMI standards for +P .380 ammo. The maximum SAAMI pressure for standard .380 is 21,500 psi. pressure so I'd know what the Magtech puts out. It could be a bad lot or it's more than the LCP can handle although there have been no reports of problems shooting Buffalo Bore +P. Not sure what Ruger's take is going to be on this as they don't sanction the use of +P ammo in the LCP.

You have to watch what Buffalo Bore says about +P. I don't know what their criteria is for higher pressure loadings. They also claim a .40 +P. With that being said, I think they make the best .380 defensive round on the market. I've shot both hollow point and the flat nose out of both a LCP and a P3AT. I didn't find them to be too uncomfortable, and still less than a +P .38 special round from Buffalo Bore. Like a previous poster said you aren't buying this gun for a range gun. 1200fps from a .380 round is pretty respectable.

The Ruger LCP is not rated for +P. The most up to date Ruger manual clearly indicates same. See page 11.

Further, there has been at least one "Magtech" incident reported on the LCP forum. While I have put over 250 rounds of Magtech through my LCP without any problems whatsoever, it wasn't +P. Unless you are in to burst barrels and/or body piercing I would avoid using any +P in a LCP.
