On my other thread a great idea was pointed out. A TGO family fishing day. Just checking to see who would go, and where we should do it.

If it's in Middle TN, I could be easily persuaded.

Fishing licenses are a big expense if you do not normally have one. And just for a one day deal too.

A one day license is only like $5.50:screwy:

In West TN, I vote for Paris Landing on KY Lake. Middle TN should do Percy or Old Hickory. Dont know much about East. I would be in on a middle and west TN meeting.

Will you shoot the fish? I think that would be great fun. :) Standing on the bank with a 10/22?

Would love to get out and do some fishing. It's been too long. Hope you guys do get something together and have some fun.

If it happens, I'm in. It would be a good way to find other areas to fish. My kids and I usually do Caney Fork year round and Priest Dam in the winter when they stock trout.

If you are in Middle, TN and like catching large mouth bass I may be able to assist!

I was thinking a fishing license was like $35.

You are right the annual small game/ fishing license is $38.00. But if some one does not have a license then they can just get the 1 day if they want to come out and fish.

I was thinking maybe Cherokee or Douglas for the East?

I'm good on Douglas fishing for E TN, I dont have lake front but you can throw a rock and hit it.

I vote for Chickamauga in the East. Not a better lake in TN right now.

+1 on that. I still think Wolftever is the best bass fishing in the area though, but for the people that don't have a boat, Chickamauga is much easier.

If you guys put one together anywhere near Memphis my family would love to go. I love to fish, although my husband doesn't have the patience for it.

Nokomom - PM sent - Im open to suggestions for West Tennessee. I will also go to Middle Tennessee. I vote for Percy Priest. Someone step up and pick the dock/marina and a good weekend in mid October. I will sign the guest list now. I am sure TheCoop would probably be in also.
