WASHINGTON – A U.S. Census worker found hanged from a tree near a Kentucky cemetery had the word "fed" scrawled on his chest, a law enforcement official said Wednesday, and the FBI is investigating whether he was a victim of anti-government sentiment.

I'd say he definitely was a victim of anti-government sentiment.

And this would come as a shock to anyone?

I'm not ready to say this could be part of, or, could turn into some sort of "movement", but how could anyone be surprised if it does? Especially in rural Kentucky.

I've got in-laws who live close to DBNF, and they said that this didn't look like a guy walking into some meth cookers or pot farmers. Whoever did this went into the trouble to leave a message; if the perps would've wanted to get rid of the corpse, it would've never been found.

I think the reference to the last sentence is because it kinda sounds like a preface to another witch hunt. I sincerely believe that if the government views this as a serious problem, there will be preemptive action toward suspected anti-government individuals.

Although this person was not shot but hanged, in the eyes of some government officials, one characteristic of anit-government individuals is owning/buying guns. This could get dirty.

Unless his name was Fred and the killer just sucked at spellin' (which is entirely possible in some parts of Kentucky) I would say that having "Fed" scrawled across his body is a good indication that someone doesn't like the government very much.

I doubt most people really like ACORN in that part of Kentucky. They probably write "ACORN" or some other political figure's name that benefited from ACORN on their range targets. Just my .

I was going the tinfoil route to say that ACORN may have done it themselves. It is a common socialist/commie tactic to act like the othersides extreme to distract attention gain the adversary negative attention.
