neighborhood watch

With all the craziness going on (and increasing)...what do you all feel about a neighborhood watch? I'd like to organize one..at the minimum to feel like I'm doing something to fight back.

Or are neighborhood watches just something for that...and they don't really work?

any advice on how to get started? What i'd really like is someone from the law enforcement to start to meet with neighborhoods and talk to the people... what works, what doesn't, 2nd amendment rights, etc. Do LEO do that sort of thing?

NW is a GOOD thing...I'm a Block Captain in our subdivision. If your hood is a nice safe place...a good NW program can keep it that way. Around here...a friggin mouse can't cross the street without someone calling the NW. Oh, and NW is a cool way to get to do "ride alongs" with NMPD

We don't have an organized NW in our hood, but we do have the disabled guy in the wheel chair that doesn't work outside the house....He is aware of every car that goes down our street! Good friend of mine, he is the one with the chain saw, that cut his knee open when helping me take that tree down a few months ago!
