Carry around Gatlinburg

Does anyone know if the Hard Rock Cafe and Ripleys aquarium are posted or not. Me and the wife are heading there for a couple of days just to get away from home before I disappear on the ship again.

the Aquarium is posted in such a way you will have already paid for your ticket before you will see the posting.

The question should be. Are they posted properly? If not don't sweat it all they can do is ask you to leave if they see your weapon. Keep it concealed and you want have any problems.

+1 as most of us think of our weapons as second nature, extensions of our hands or part our every day dress.. just like a wallet.

As long as it's well consealed. don't worry about it.

Someone stated at another forum that Ripley's Aquarium has a gun safe to store handguns. You have to ask the security officer there.

Im up here on vacation myself.... passed Hard Rock up for Bubba Gump,,, not posted.

My extended family asked me if I was carrying since I wasnt in Memphis and was on vacation .... my wife just laughed and asked them if they were serious ... I love that woman:)

Gatlinburg is an overpriced tourist trap. I was gonna resupply there on the AT, but decided against it.

Stay in Townsend at these great family-owned cabins...

Tipton's Cabin Rentals in Townsend Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Townsend is the back entrance to the Smokies... it's quiet! These cabins are NOT on any cliff (see note below).

Thanks for the information. We will probably stay at the greystone or grey something next to the aquarium as we will only be there one night. I will stash the gun in the hotel when we go to the aquarium and eat lunch at the hard rock. As shown on the the threads about proper posting I wont carry in a place that posts any kind of sign. I will still do bussines with some of them, but it is their place and I will abide their rules. I will, however be carrying at night when we go to bubba gump shrimp to eat dinner as I am less at ease at night and apparently bubba gump is not posted. We have stayed at the cabins in the past when we had more time. My wife is terrified of heights and we stayed in a cabin for 3 days once. When we were leaving and driving down the mountain road to get to the office in town to check out. my wife looks up and sees a cabin on the edge of the cliff and comments that she would never stay there. You guessed it, it was the very one we stayed in. Oh also I loved the place with the water park, but if I stayed there and sat by the water. People would be throwing buckets of water on me and trying to drag me back out to sea.

I have to disagree with this, my defense is more important to me than their rules. Yeah, like I want someone explaining to my family that I'm dead because the owner didn't want guns on their property.

This subject has been beaten to death in other threads in which it was the subject of the thread. We could not carry in these places before the law and we still ate at them. And if you were carrying then you were doing so illegally. I respect your right to do as you want as I hope you respect mine. This thread is done for me as I will not get dragged back into this subject. Once again thanks to all for the information about gatlinburg.
