I don't seem to see anyone in TN or anywhere else that feels the urgency to fight Obama. What follows is Corker's response to my dismay at Obama choosing Sunstein:

Dear Mr. Mxxxxx,

Thank you for taking the time to contact my office to share your concerns about the nomination of Cass Sunstein to be Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Office of Management and Budget. Your input is important to me and I appreciate the time you took to share your thoughts.

I agree with you and voted against Cass Sunstein's confirmation for the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, where he would be responsible for reviewing and providing guidance for draft federal regulations at most federal agencies. As a general rule, I believe in allowing the President wide latitude to choose the people he wants to serve in his Administration. However, I share your concerns that some of Mr. Sunstein's past statements regarding our 2nd Amendment rights and other issues are extreme.

Thank you again for your letter. I hope you will continue to share your thoughts with me.

Sincerely,

Bob Corker

United States Senator

Yeah, I got the same letter from Corker.

A few need to read the letter. Careful what you wish for when it comes time to change Senators. We could do a whole lot worse.......We do not want to be victims of dividing the troops and wind up with some true liberal.

Not surprised to see this from Corker. I have him sitting right beside Wamp in my "TN. Losers" section.

Wamp made a little visit to maryville not too many weeks back and he basically sounded like any other corrupt politician. When asked about things he either did not want to address or things that he had no clue on he would just start his rhetoric speech and ignore the question. Man it pisses me off when they do that.

I see Corker is doing the same thing by sending back this statement.

I received the same pissy email. They do not care what the public says, wants, etc.... I will not vote for the tool again. Only reason I voted for him in the first place was to keep they Obama Memphis Ford legacy out!

Corker is a Fascist jerk. Vote him out. Then vote out his successor after 1 term, and so on.

If Herenton gets in , you'll never vote him out. He will look terrible in the polls and will come with a 72& ( I think) win, that's how his last election turned out. After having a city wide petition floated around with thousands of signatures for an impeachment or at least an investagtion.

Mind you his campaign slogan that won him that election was "Shake the Haters off".

Google is, its not a joke. With his recent radio interviews he has talked about his "haters hate'n on him".

He has stated he wants Corkers spot at all costs.

Has anyone been compiling news articles, letter responses, etc. of all the bad and idiotice things that the candidates running for higher office have done during there terms? I want to start getting the word out on these scumbags. Preemptive strikes.

Some of you may, like Time Magazine, think he's a "Mad Man," but I've been watching and/or taping Glenn Beck's show every day. I've learned more watching by him than from anyone else. Thanks to him and Fox, Van Jones resigned. It is going to take major people like these in a news network to bring the truth to America, and although they are not perfect, I think that Glenn Beck, Fox News and Rush Limbaugh (in no special order) are our best sources of information. Then, those of us HAVE to keep contacting our legislators and let them know how we feel about the issues and how these legislators are handling these issues. I can't tell you how many times and how many legislators I have contacted. I have to try. I will keep trying, and you need to keep trying, too. One thing is for sure: Obama and his minions will take our country on a straight path to socialism and ultimately worse if he is not stopped. Hopefully, conservatives can throw in enough road blocks until the next election can change the profile of Congress. :2cents:

P. S. After Alexander voted to support Sotomayor, I wrote him a letter, explaining why his support of her was a vote against the 2nd Amendment, a vote for a racist and sexist who repeatedly claimed to be a better qualified judge as a latina woman than a white male, and that in the future, I had decided that he would not get my vote for dog catcher, much less U.S. Senator.

The curiousity was too much so I looked up Herenton......WOW, lol, that looked like a smaller scaled version of obamamania. Whatever this guy decides to run for he won't be getting support in my area.

And I think Beck,Boortz,Limbaugh, and others like them all have their purpose. I don't take everything they say to 100% truth because that would just be asinine. But they do a good job getting you headed in the right direction on issues. I would have never investigated Van Jones record further if it had not been for Beck. I feel like these guys are paid to "watch the gate" for the bad stuff those in D.C. are trying to pull over on us but they also like to entertain so they will go off on tangents from time to time at which point I can just change the channel or turn it off. They do hold some informative value in my opinion.

Yea he did a real number on Memphis. Will be shocked if the city truly ever recovers.

Herenton is running against 9th District Rep. Steve Cohen, NOT Sen. Bob Corker. So unless you are in Memphis and (small) parts of Shelby County, not someone you will be voting against. Though our choices here in the 9th suck. I really just want to knock him over the head with a 2x4 and tell him to quit ****ing up my city.

Hopefully the next election will purge the crap from office. And give us elected officials that serve "US".Politicians forget they work for us!

I found this on Google under, who will run in 2012 election. Do you think this is a possibility?

"The republican party is finished and will soon dissolve. It simply does not represent conservative values or even the best interests of the people they want to vote for them, anymore.

But neither will the democrats wield ultimate power. Instead, the US is preparing to severely limit the power of the federal government if not eliminate it outright. About half the states have passed resolutions defining their intent to do just that. Twice in the last year, an attempt to call a constitutional convention was made and almost succeeded. If one is called, likely our constitution will be suspended and our federal government dissolved. It just isn’t doing its job, is the issue. The states will remain the main soveriegn entity and will either form a new republic or, if they can’t find common ground, split into two or more countries.

It is damn close to that right now. If Obama doesn’t immediately succeed (and his behavior is pathetic almost as if he is trying to make things worse), it will happen.

There just isn’t any confidence in the federal government anymore and their power rests on nothing more than the willingness of people to cooperate with them most, if not all, of the time. That willingness is fading…..fast."
