Park carry question.

I noticed yesterday that Murfreesboro has posted their signs at the drive in entrance to their greenway systems. Does this mean that if I'm caught in the parking lot with my sidearm I can be charged?

It depends on the type of sign. If it is in compliance with 39-17-1311 and you are carrying, you could be. The best thing to do would be to unload and put it in the trunk, then you would remove the 'intent to go armed' part that is against the law. It is against the law to possess a weapon with 'intent to go armed' in a park from my understanding. Unloading and putting in the trunk takes care of that. I'm not a lawyer, but i would think it would remove the hassle factor...i'd unload and put in the trunk before i got to the parking lot, if the signs were legal.
