I"m intrigued by this, what is the cost of getting started, nothing major, but just mess'n around?

I have a Cannon SD790 Elph 10.0 Mega pixels. Takes good pics for a point and shoot.

You need a camera that you can manually set ISO, shutter and aperture and some way to hold the camera absolutely still for the time it takes you to change settings for multiple exposures... tripod would be best. The software to combine the elements is cheap.

Nice stuff... doesn't look cartoonish.

Methinks that everytime I see HDR pictures posted by strickj I expect to see hookers in hi def or whatever it means. I think you're taking your photos of their "offices" before the opening of business, strick. :P

A good pic is a must,but a DSLR that can take RAW/NEF pics really helps as I've learned with these pics.
