I thought Sig exclusively did piston guns.

I don't think I've ever actually put hands on a Sig DGI gun before. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

But me likee... Me want...

Looks like they took the sig556 gas system and adpated it to a AR15 platform. Kind of like Daewoo did 20 years ago. There are so many new additions to the piston driven semi-auto as of late, I can't keep up. I'll admit, I have a serious jones for a folding stock Sig556. I just can't step up to the plate when it comes to paying for it.

Yeah, it's a GP gun.

Meh.

I'm kinda there too. As far as I'm concerned, if I were to go GP (which I currently have no true desire to), I'd be sold on LWRC or more likely LMT.

LWRC's GP guns have for too many moving parts.

And you have to remove the top half of the Picatinny system to access it. To big a risk of losing zero on your front sight.

Who wants to start the guess game on how much the MSRP will be on this bad boy?

POF is a downright awesome piston AR.

My gut reaction was /facepalm. but if Ruger and S&W can do it whatever.

Agreed.

Hopefully, this means there will be a glut of AR clones on the market by Christmastime, and that means I can pick up a super cheap name brand black rifle.
