Delighted to be a new member!

As a songwriter, I have tried to write a song about The Second Amendment for years. I am so passionate about the topic that most previous attempts were sappy and maudlin at best.

Recently, with encouragement from family and friends, I wrote and recorded a song called "The Right to Bear Arms," that is currently #3 on the Soundclick.com Country Charts, out of over 45,000 songs. You can hear the entire song at MP3 Player SoundClick

Although this demo is geting a lot of airplay on radio shows around the country, my goal is to get a country artist in Nashville to record it. I'll let you know if that happens. Hope you enjoy it!

I'm 58, a political satirist/talk radio host, married to a great lady. Been in Nashville for 6 years and love it! No children, but two world class dogs and a pretty good cat. Again, great to be here.

Hi Steve, and welcome to the forum! You should send your song to the NRA -- it's just the kind of music they like to play in the background of some of the shows that they do! Seriously, it wouldn't hurt to do this! It's great that you've orchestrated this freedom we have and cherish -- I just hope the idiots in Washington don't take it away or curtail it significantly! Hope you enjoy the forum!
