The original might have been. This one is actually a new-production receiver with an older kit built onto it.

Maybe it was on a carriage so that they wouldn't have to set up a tripod every time and could get away with two people to move it around, rather than three?

If you had money to burn it probably would be a lot of fun and for the creative among us, it could be modified with a Gatlin type hand crank. For the really creative modify the hand crank with a rechargable drill...that is until the flash bombs go off and the ATF breaks down your door...at that point it would lose most of it's luster

Yeah its just a penny to ship it....would look pretty tough hitched up behind a jeep. Probably would be a lot of fun. Wiki has some history on that gun.

I'm willing to bet regardless of how fast you were driving, or even which side of the street you were driving on, that fellow motorists would most willingly accommodate you.
