Just purchased a Kahr PM9 from Rugerman on this forum. +1 for him.

I was looking at getting a couple of extra Mags for it and ran across an 8rd Mag. K9. KAHR ARMS ONLINE SHOP

Says it fits K9, CW9, P9, P9 Covert, E9, MK9 and PM9. Anyone ever try one of these?

yeah, they will work, but they stick out a couple of inches. Good for the range, but I definitely wouldn't carry with one, would definitely defeat the whole purpose of the PM.

Have never tried that particular mag, but if you really want one Google about for a much better price. Will stick out of grip. Not flush.

Haven't purchased yet. Whats up with ProMag? :D

They just don't generally work on most guns, other than that they're pretty good.

Some don't seem to EVER work on some guns (50 round drum for 10/22 for example).

Do a quickie Google for "promag any good", you'll see.

Or do a separate thread in this forum for Promag to get your peers' opinions.

My advice is find the best price you can for the 7 round Kahr factory mag with the pinkie rest built in if you want more than the 6 round flush ones.

I believe I will take your advice. Glad I posted this before purchase. Thanks

I have both 8 and 10 round ProMag for the PM9 and they both work. I am in the minority though, or as lucky as I am good lookin.

+1 on the promag. I have not had much luck with them either. I always get factory mags now.

Might try looking at "Ivanhoe Warehouse". Much better price & they are original "Kahr " marked packages.

I carry the 8-round mag in a custom leather pocket holster as a backup for my MK9 or K9, an extra mag that works for both.

I found some mags. at Buds for $27.00. Went ahead and got a couple of 6 and 7 rounders. Should have them for the shoot at Norris on 10-11.

The mag you speak of is made to fit the T9 (still works) and will stick out the bottom a little too much for my liking. As for the Pro Mags, I have had a couple that had questionable reliability. Used them for Range only! Also stick out a lot from the bottom.

How much did you pay for the PM9?

It was $575.00. I purchased it from Rugerman on this forum.

The Mag on the right (black) is the one I was having trouble with. The other Mag. is one I purchased. Mac (Oh Shoot) told me Kahr didn't make a black Mag.

+1 on promag = :D

I second Mac's assessment that Kahr doesn't make a black mag......at least.....I've not seen one.

The only non-factory mags I'd trust 100% for just about any gun are made by Mec-Gar.

If you look at the two mags, it's pretty obvious why the slide wouldn't lock back with the black one. Even though the mag locked in/released okay, and the overall height was just barely high enough for a round to be stripped and chambered, the slide lock cutout in upper left is cut too low to trip the gun's slide stop lever. It's even more obvious if you align the two mags side by side exactly by the bases.
