I was looking at a Uselton 1911 a couple of years ago at a gun shop near here. I actually almost bought it, but this was before I knew anything about this Rick Uselton character. Knowing what I know now, I'm glad I didn't buy it.

I will say that the particular pistol I was looking at was very well built. The smith who assembled it(I'm assuming Sam?) obviously knew what he was doing. The slide to frame fit was perfect, smooth as glass. And all of the other parts were very, very well fitted. And it was also most definitely built on a Caspian frame. I'm pretty certain that the slide was Caspian as well, from what I recall. The grip safety was Caspian also. I remember because the Caspian grip safety design is pretty unique(and I've never particularly cared for it). But that's all I can recall about it at the moment. I do know this much for sure, if Rick Uselton says all of his parts are made in house then he is definitely lying.
