How about use a turn signal once in a while, pedestrians do in fact have the right of way in a crosswalk, so don't rev your engine and cuss them, and traffic that does NOT have a stop sign, does in fact have the right of way, don't pull out in front of them. Oh, and if NONE of your brake lights work, don't be surprised if someone rear ends you!

my big one, if you are not passing anyone get the hell out of the fast lane. others may want to pass you.

and there is nothing you need to say on the damn phone while your driving let a lone text, for the love of god send it to voice mail till you get your butt off the road.

and please keep your music to your self, i know you like it, and proud that you spent more for the radio and speakers than you did for that car, but it still sounds like **** when your cursing in my neighborhood don't be surprised when some one steals it and leaves the car.

I like the ones that crank up the rap, and think it sounds cool, when all you can hear outside is their crappy car rattling everytime it hits.

We too have the 1984 Nissan pickups dragging the ground that wouldnt bring 75.00 at the scrap yard but they have the 5000K stero playing the rap at levels so high the rust is actually falling from the truck bed panels. We have the Blue Hairs in the Light Beige Buicks (Bought the beige cause it dont show dirt) and the farmers that cant see cause their dash pads are stacked full of corn cobs, chewing tobacco spit cups, and walking canes, But the ones that scare me the most are the Soccer Moms in the Chrysler Mini Vans! These ladies (Most are nice looking) are on a mission. They take more chances than anyone on the road, Constantly tailgating, cell phone in one hand, kids sports schedule in another, Turning around to scream at Biff and Buffy! If your first at a 4 way stop, You better wait if the mini van comes up on the other 3 sides. Shes gonna go! All hours of the day from 5AM to 10 at night. Chryslers have to be good vehicles, They are never serviced here cause the motors never cool off! I know they got a **** job with hubby piled up on the couch or stopping off at Toms Bar and Grill after work but GodOMighty ladies, Slow it down, Biff and Buffy will make tryouts alot better in one piece than to have a Beige Buick crammed in their grill going to McDonalds. JMOPO, Thanks, Jack

I talk on the phone and drive. And eat lunch while driving 2-3 days a week.

I thought I lived in America where I was free to do what I want.

I hope this post is in jest.:koolaid: You are free to do these things, but when you run over my wife and children because you had your head in your a$$, you will be free to take what's coming to ya as well.

Just had a funny feeling that one came from personal experience. (I hope not, but just wondering...)

A friends story actually, he came around a corner, saw a jeep, no lights, looked at something quick, looked back and realized the jeep was completely stopped in the middle of the road with no brake lights. He did 2 complete 360's trying to stop his old '85 monte carlo after he swerved around her. Pure luck he didn't hit her, or anything else for that matter.

I have been driving for 26 years now with out a accident charged to me. I am not 100% safe all the time, But no one is. And I am honest I drive while on the phone and eating. And I dont see you guys pulled over to talk on the phone. I hardly ever see anyone pulling on the shoulder to talk on the phone. So you guys be honest also.

Just because you dont want to do something doesnt mean you should restrict some one else from doing it.

Bicycles in the highway are a major point of contention for me. Why can't they enact a spandex tax and build their own bike paths? I promise I won't drive on them.

I would love for there to be more BIKE LANES...maybe once Obama outlaws the internal combustion engine that'll happen...until then...I'll ride as far to the ride side of the road as is SAFELY possible.

The reason you won't see me pulled over while talking on the phone is, you won't see me talking on the phone while driving. At least not without a headset. You can do it responsibly, but the sad fact is, most people don't. They stick that thing to the side of their head and won't remove it to check their blind spots. I've been almost killed by cars more times than I care to count, and the one thing about 99% of those incidents have in common is someone talking on the phone. Coincidence? Maybe, but I seriously doubt it.

According to the insurance institute that is just as dangerous as holding a phone to your head.

Cell Phone Use While Driving Fact Sheet

Cell Phone Use While Driving

Fact Sheet

Using cell phones while driving is a very high risk behavior with significant impact on crashes and society. More than 50 peer-reviewed scientific studies have identified the risks associated with cell phone use while driving.

Drivers who use cell phones are four times more likely to be in a crash while using a cell phone. (1997 New England Journal of Medicine examination of hospital records and 2005 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety study linking crashes to cell phone records).

There is no difference in the cognitive distraction between hand-held and hands-free devices. (Simulator studies at the U. of Utah.)
