VA CCL holder applying for a TN CCL

Ok, so I have a CCL in VA and just recently moved to TN. I look at TN's website for applying for a CCL and read the section about out of state CCL holders, like me, and the requirements for using an abbreviated process for applying for a TN CCL. It said since I have a VA license, I just need proof of fingerprinting in VA and to pay a smaller fee along with my application(http://state.tn.us/safety/handgun/apprequirements.htm#VA). How do I get proof of fingerprinting and why? Obviously I was fingerprinted if I have a CCL.

Where did you go to be finger printed in VA? They might have a record of it. How did you pay for it? Check? Credit Card? There might be a record there.

Aren't you prior military? Didn't they ease the restrictions for that case also?

successfully completed all handgun training of not less than four (4) hours as required by any branch of the military.

Yeah but I think the military thing only waives the training requirement. At least thats what I gathered from the website. I'd still have to pay the full application fee and get fingerprinted.

It's not that bad if you get your fingerprints done electronically. Really expedites the process. I transferred mine over from Kentucky about 10 years ago and had to go the old ink and pad route.

Oh I know, its not the fingerprints that bother me, its finding the proof that I did it in VA and saving 60 bucks here that I'm concerned with. But I'm having no luck so I guess I'll have to pay the full fee anyway.
