Gun & Knife Show in Lebanon, TN Sept 12-13

Was eating in Lebanon last week and talking with the waitress she mentioned some guy dropped off some $1 off coupons for a gun show at the Fair Grounds in Lebanon. I know Ole Neighborhood in Lebanon had the $1 off coupons and probably others.

I don't know much else about it but figured I would pass it along. Will more than likely be there since it is only 20 minutes from my house.

The address is 945 Baddour Pkwy. Lebanon, TN for the show.

Hmm, I hope to be there. I wonder if there is anyone to sell some TGO hats and stuff to get our clan out there?

Its the great american gun and knife show people, that's not the ones who did the sparta show a month or so back is it? Because that show sucked. I'll probably go regardless, just curious. 120 tables by the way if anyone was wondering, and you can print the coupons here Gun Show Listings ForTennesee

MWX is the same group as the last one in Sparta. There's another in Sparta on 9/19 & 9/20 but it's the regular group, not MWX.

Yuck, that was a horrible show. The regular one is pretty good for it size though.

It's like 10 min. for me, I"m going to the Wilson Co. republican party meeting first over on Hartmann drive at their headquarters. They are supposed to have a speaker that's going to run against Bart Gordon and I wanted to hear what she has to say.

Major waste of time, the VERY SMALL BUILDING, small crowd and I could hardly move around. If I was a vendor I would be pissed !!!!! The building was already getting hot when I left at 10:30 ish.

Awful. Same story as sparta, only I think it may have been worse, aisles were too small, you couldn't move, A LOT of junk, and what wasn't junk, much of it was overpriced. I won't be going back, or to any other shows from these people for that matter.

I took my son earlier. As has been said it was in a very small building.

Well, I guess I'll be the dissenting vote here. Just got back, and while it does not compare with either of the Nashville shows, I didn't think it was all that bad for a first time out. Yes it was small. The crowd had apparently slacked up as there was room to move around and not shoulder to shoulder.

Was I disappointed? Not really. Would I have liked it better if it were the size/quality of a Smyrna/Nashville show, yes. But, I did not expect more than it was, it is the first time since I can remember ever having a Lebanon G. show so you can't go balls to the wall out of the gate.

Prices were mostly average to high for gun shows. Some vendor, and walk around sellers for that matter, haven't gotten the word yet that we're moving back toward a buyers market rather than sellers. Particularly on anything black and plastic. AR parts particularly, and complete rifles were too high (walk around also). But I did see a table or two with competitively priced items.

The size of the show meant there were more knives and ancillary (minimally gun related) items displayed than I would have liked. Years ago, actually decades, the TN gun collector shows allowed NO knives or anything that didn't go bang. And those were great shows, but that's not going to happen today. If you put a knife on your table you were asked to pick it up.

Overall, the show would have been better if larger and if the air had worked better. But I'm glad I went and supported the show at a local place. I hope they can improve and come back again.
