i have a very nice remington 700 deluxe in 30-06. the gun shoots great but i would love to either have some trigger work done or replace the springs to give a better triggerl. i'm not wanting to spend a bunch of money on something; so, i thought i would ask if anyone has found somethng that works great.

Yes the M-7 has the same trigger as the 700. The new Remingtons have a different trigger that is not as adjustable or done the same as the old triggers. One thing to be careful with while adjusting the trigger is you need at min. 10 thousands inch of sear engagement. Be careful that you do not get you trigger set too light during warm weather because it will be lighter when it gets cold. I set a Rem 700 trigger once in the summer that was 28 oz by a trigger scale and it worked perfect with no problems. But when I went deer hunting in the cold of winter when I went to load the rifle the trigger would not let the rifle stay cocked. The metal got cold and sharank. When the rifle was taken in the warmth it would hold. I had to re-ajust the trigger to 32 oz to get it to work in the cold weather. You can get some Rem triggers to work well below 32 oz but many will not.

Actually, the new "X-Mark Pro" triggers are super easy to adjust. Easier than the old 700's, IMO.
