Just recently moved up here and previously belonged to a shooting club. Wanted to sign up and become an active member in this region. Have been around guns for nearly 30 years, so not new to firearms..just this sight!

Look forward reading, posting and sharing interesting info.

Thanks,

Chuck

Excellent! Thanks guys!

Crunchman, is there a local shooting club around here that is decent? I am having a time locating a spot to go plinking and place to sight in my rifles. I am on the north side of Jackson and the only shooting club I know of is south Jackson, Tennessee Shooting Foundation. I don't know much about them or if it would be worth the price to join and shoot over there. I am used to shooting for free at my local sheriff range.

Thanks in advanced.

The Tennssee Sports and Shooting Foundation is pretty nice. I'm from around Jackson, and that's where I went to do my HCP class - and shot my range test over there. A real nice group of guys shoot over there, and they talked like they have regular IDPA stuff going on. I'd sign up over there myself if I wasn't a 45 minute drive away  Happy shooting!

Same here randomhero. It would be about a 30 minute drive one way from where I am located which isn't terrible. I did see pictures of IDPA events and various shoots tourneys during the summer time, but not interested at qualifying for any of that at this time, perhaps an occasional long range rifle competition, but nothing serious. Just want a decent range where I can go shoot, rifle and pistols, any given time with safety in mind for myself and kids. I don't like foolishness and firearms.

TSF is a good place. There's also The Great Outdoor Store indoor pistol range and the FOP range. Give me a PM and we'll exchange phone#s. I'll give you all the info.
