Anyone have a new BlackBerry Tour?

I have an 8330 Curve and it's great, but I may have to start going overseas again and the Curve is not global.

If I have to go often enough (will depend on how our soon to start pilot program with the client goes), I will likely upgrade my phone and want to stick with a BlackBerry, since it's a work phone and the Curve is great for my business email.

Any user feedback on the Tour will be much appreciated.

I found out something interesting when I recently added Int' l calling (from the states) to my phone: you can actually rent a "global" capable phone from Verizon (my carrier) and would guess other providers have something similiar.

I would wait a while before I got one of those. One of our executives has one, he is having issues with it locking up and it won't delete emails (more locking up). Hopefully RIM will release an update soon to alleviate these issues.

If I am not mistaken, if the Tour doesn't seem like a good option for you, I believe there is another global blackberry offered by Verizon.

I have the Storm. it was supposed to smoke the curve, but i think it fell short, i wish i had never upgraded my curve to the storm. i here that the tour was going to fix all of the storm problems, from what i hear, its all software problems. My opinion is the curve is the best RIM Verizon has. I thinking about getting my curve back from my girlfriend and giving her my storm.

Thanks David - I was given bad scoop! And the best of it all - my new client is in Australia. I haven't been there in a few years (got to go four times courtesy of the USN).

I had to do some phone interviews the other night and it was cool to hear the Aussie accents again.

Again, thanks for the info and link.

Interesting - I almost got a Storm but went with the Curve and really like the phone and functions; I don't do a lot of browsing, so that was not too important.

Hope they get the Tour straightened out, though, cause I think a lot of folks got them.

Yes, it's the one mentioned by another poster - almost got it when I got my 8330 and wish I had now.

Do like the BB though (iphones seem cool, but I am not much of a gamer, etc, so just need the strong work functions).
