I've gone and done it now. Sold the XD9. Somebody help me find a good Glock 17, hopefully with extra mags for a reasonable price. I live in the Erin area, southwest of Clarksville, so range might be kind of limited. If you turn over any rocks and find one let me know.

Why'd you sell the XD9? Just not like it anymore, or did you pick up a Glock and get the fever?

I like and have owned both, but end the end I got rid of my XDM 40. Just liked the way the Glock felt a little better.

I'm just converting over to Glocks. That's what I've been issued at work for many years now, and I actually shoot them better. Just trying to keep everything on a familiar platform.

By the way, what's the difference in the new RTF and RTF2 frames?

I just called Tennessee Gun Country. I can get a 17 out the door for 492.00. I also called Craig's Firearms of Knoxville. I can get one there with department letterhead for 463.94 total shipped.

The RTF2 has small dots on the grip as well as curved slide serrations.

Agree with Don - the guy at TN Gun Country is a good guy and since he's local, would go that route if it were me (nothing against shipped guns). I've bought one gun from him, but keep him in mind for anything needed - plus he gives a discount for military, even old retired squids like me.
