MAGPUL "EMAGs"?? Anybody played with them?

I have several PMAGs and love them so much better than my USGI mags. The one down side they have is that they will not fit in my USGI issue gear correctly because of the raised ribs on the outside of the mags. Pockets that are supposed to hold 2 wont hold but one. If they are supposed to hold 3 they wont hold but 2. I ran past this the other day on MAGPULs site and wondered if anybody here has played with them yet?

30 rnd MagLevelâ„¢ EMAGâ„¢

$22.95

The EMAGâ„¢ (Export MAGazine) is a lightweight 30-round 5.56 NATO polymer magazine that features a number of aesthetic and functional changes from the original PMAGâ„¢. While EMAGâ„¢ remains 100% compatible with the AR15/M16 platform, its unique geometry is optimized for foreign-made weapons such as the HK 416, FN SCAR, British SA-80, Beretta ARX-160, IMI Tavor, and others.

To enhance compatibility with double and triple magazine pouches, the EMAGâ„¢ features a slim, rib-less, anti-snag profile. Front-to-back and side-to-side dimensions have been adjusted to ensure compatibility with as many STANAG 4179 weapons as possible, including most non-Colt spec AR15 rifles.

EMAGâ„¢ features a pop-off Impact/Dust Cover to prevent dirt and debris intrustion and protect the feedlips from impact damage during storage. When not in use, the dust cover can be stored on the magazine floorplate.

For easier and more accurate identification of loaded round count via the large, single-side MagLevelâ„¢ window, the stainless steel magazine spring is now coated with milspec black oxide (MIL-DTL-13924D) and the indicator coil painted with a high visibility orange color. Numerical indicators have been added to the body to identify 5, 15, and 25 loaded rounds.

Made in U.S.A.

I found one place that is running them about $5 more than regular PMAG. Now that may also be that they are new to the market. Remimber when the MAGPUL sling came out they were going to $100 on ebay.

That's about right. I was looking at dealer cost yesterday and they are a bit more than a PMAG on DC also.
