So back in December, my girlfriend bought me a RoKu

It's a digital video player that streams titles from your Netflix que directly to your TV. Pretty handy little device. It's $99 for the device, and their are no additional charges over what you're already paying for your Netflix subscription. Long story short, I've been watching a lot of stuff I wouldn't normally put in my que (since it's available on demand).

One of these gems is a British show called "The IT Crowd". It's about a small IT dept. in a large company. Absolutely hilarious! I highly reccomend it to you IT guys and anyone w/ a decent sense of humor.

My Wife and I, both programmers in a corporate environment, found this show to be painfully funny. One episode in particular, the boss was having a party to celebrate the new network deployment and thanked everyone but the IT department who deployed it. He even thanked the marketing department ( which everyone in this situation knows is a joke ) for such a fine job of network integration.

It is not all about IT, exactly. The girl is hot, the guy locked in the server room is great, but my favorite character is the guy with the big hair parted on the right.

Another british show you might like is Black Books. The first episode is comedy gold.

HA! I love British humor and comedies. My hub and I are definitely dorks and what little tv we do watch usually consists of shows like Ballykissangel, AbFab, Monarch of the Glen, and stuff like that. We had a Blackadder & Knock You Nekkid margarita night at my house last weekend in fact. I just started watching this IT series on our XBOX 360 netflix setup and like it so far. Thanks for the recommendation on the show.
