Pandemic bill allows health authorities to enter homes, detain without warrant

Boy, howdy. Tennessee ain't perfect, but I sure am glad I don't live in Mass. :

Cops jump on swine-flu power: Shots heard 'round the world

The fascists are at it again....and as long as the people stand for it--they will continue to shove that garbage down the throats of everyone--and yes, I think a bill like that would eventually make it into the Tn. legislature...

It all makes sense now. Swine flu was created by the gov't and now they are passing this legislation. It's a total takeover conspiracy, man! :P:):D

Here's a quote from the actual legislation (bold accents added by me):

(

:) Upon declaring a public health emergency or state of emergency, the governor may activate the state comprehensive emergency management plan and its associated processes, including authority pursuant to chapter 639 of the acts of 1950. Such declaration may authorize the deployment and use of any forces to which the plan applies and the use or distribution of any supplies, equipment, materials, and facilities assembled, stockpiled, or available.

Sounds like they can call out the National Guard.

(d) All state and local agencies of the Commonwealth engaged in responding to a public health emergency declared pursuant to section 2A or a state of emergency declared under chapter 639 of the acts of 1950 shall consult and cooperate in:

(1) the exercise of their powers over routes of transportation and over materials and facilities including but not limited to communication devices, carriers, public utilities, fuels, food,

clothing, and shelter;

Looks like the Ham Radio operators will be busy screaming for help.

Not so surprising considering this is the state that kept Kennedy and Kerry in office.

Obama's gonna use the pandemic as an excuse to "postpone" the 2010 election. It won't be safe "for people to congregate" at polling places.

Lock & load.

You are mistaken. It is more difficult to own a handgun in Massachusetts than in Tennessee, but it is not illegal.

"Bush is going to raise the terror alert level and 'postpone' the elections because of a national emergency."

"Clinton is going to create some fake national emergency and cancel the elections."

The names change, but the tin foil song stays the same.

Yeah, but a flu pandemic would make it look legitimate. :D

This is my favorite:

"to adopt and enforce measures to provide for the safe disposal of infectious waste and human remains, provided that religious, cultural, family, and individual beliefs of the deceased person shall be followed to the extent possible when disposing of human remains, whenever that may be done without endangering the public health"

Wouldn't you hate to be one of these officers? "Uhh, hey Steve, I cleaned up the crap, piss, and vomit at the last house, it's your turn"

"Paper rock sissors?"

If they come into your house, just say, ok, and take a huge dump right there on the floor and say "well, get to it fellas"
