The Lorikeet exhibit was quite interesting, too.

You can buy ($2) a small cup of nectar and go inside the enclosure with about 20 of these birds. Once you're inside, you simply hold the small cup of nectar in front of you, and the birds start landing on you to drink from the cup.

It only took a couple of minutes for them to finish the nectar in the cup. Obviously this little fella didn't get his fair share. And my sweat must have been the next best thing. It was a little funny and gross at the same time.

I have never been to a zoo.

No problem. If you can't go to any of the zoos mentioned just come and visit the average Metro Nashville school. You will see plenty of wild animals and you may even be able to see the zoo keeper that is if he can be enticed to come out of his office.:D
