Carbon barrels?

I am thinking of putting one of those carbon fiber barrels on a 10/22. I want to hunt and target shoot with it but don't want the extra weight of a heavy bull barrel. What are your thoughts?

I wanted a light barrel too, but I went with an aluminum Whistle Pig barrel. www.wpgbc.com I think the weight is one ounce per inch on them, and they come in lots of colors too. I love mine.

I's a 10/22 even with the bull barrel it still weights less than any standard bolt action hunting rifle.

I find it easier to steady a slightly heavier barrel. When a scope is on my 10/22, I need the weight. With iron sights though, I like the lighter weight.

Ok so you got me, also wanted it for the coolness factor.

I have a carbon barrel on my 10/22. Haven't had any problems with it. But yeah, it's a bit TOO light, IMO.
