Yeah, I made a deal, I would pull up all of the Monkey Grass in the front flower beds if I could go. I think I got the short end of the stick though cause I am sore as hell. My trigger finger is sore from pulling that crap up.

I HATE MONKEY GRASS

Nice to meet you today Brian...even though the S&B ammo I have SUCKS!! (well sux for the Sigma) but good advice to rotate the TN cartridge stuff in, after you left I was able to get through quite a bit rotating them out...

anyway, we need to get a big gathering together for a full range day, lunch, BS, and shooting...

got some gun cleaning to do right now, but I will be back on later.

It was much fun. Since the kids nap from noonish to 2ish so my "daddy" time is limited. I would love to do another gathering with more notice and planning some place where I can bring out the AK. I have had it almost a year and it has NEVER been fired by me or anyone that I know.

Next time a trip to Shoneys or something is in order prior to the shoot or afterwards or just going back to some ones house for a cleaning and beer session.

Well met. Have a great day and don't worry what people think of your Sigma. As Charles Barkley once said "I don't care what people think. People are stupid."

P.S. We will have to get the wives together. Mine shoots and I am sure she can talk yours into it.

hahah...most are gun snobs...but just do a search and watch a forum or two...the sigma is not a very popular gun...lol...course, I have the newest generation (VE) but they dont understand that...oh well, I still sleep good at night and I know it has my back...well as long as I am not shooting the CRAP I just bought (Sellier & Bellot) then it just gets PISSED at me and stops...great, my GUN is materialistic!! but thats cool it deserves it...

anyway mike, sorry for the rant there but like I said, I like it, and it shoots straight as hell for me so screw em..lol

I have a Sigma in 9mm just like yours. I think the trigger is a little heavy but I do not see it as any problem what so ever. Mine has over 1500 rounds through it and has never failed to cycle or go bang. I have not used S&B ammo in it. But have used S&B in other calibers and it has always worked there. Maybe you just got a bad box of it.

I do know that a lot of gunnies seem to feel if you do not spend way more than what a Sigma costs then you have some substandard gun. I do not agree with that. I also shoot a Hi-Point in .40S&W and it might be my best shooting gun. So to me cost is not relevant.

We have that monthly around here, you might consider making the trip sometime. Make a weekend out of it and see how the other half rolls.

Its possible to have a bad box I guess...but more like a bad case, I bought 1000rds for it...the ammo may work great in a different gun, but the Sigma doesnt like it....dunno, lol... other than this ammo, my Sigma is awesome, I have no issues, and I agree about the price thing...I have 3 kids, so cheaper is ALWAYS better for me...the internet sure helps research in the meantime, i mean I put the brand of gun I am interested in, and BAM 30,000 people have owned one!!

The weekend trip sounds very interesting...maybe after the holidays...the wife is showing how many holes she can put into our credit cards without the use of a gun!! I swear she needs a holster for them ;)

so from that statement I would surmise that Mrs. Canyn does not read this site, or we might have to hide you out so she does not put holes in you :D

I am surprised that the S & B does not run through that gun. Guess you just need to take something to clean the chamber and bore out after you set it down a spell. And look at it this way, it is good drill for clearing a jam and firing the weapon, especially since it happens at random.
